Internal key seating operations are carried out at Prime Engineering Ltd including in house manufacture of all necessary tooling required including any special fixturing.. Standard sized key way cutting tools are made to nominal standard widths with a plus 0.05mm tolerance.

Ensuring A Correct Fit
Gauging for all sizes of key way required is produced in house. This consists of a shaft ground to the requisite bore size, a key way machined into the shaft and a standard sized square key fitted into the shaft which is the used as a gauge.
Our capacity ranges from 2mm to 20mm width with a vertical capacity of around 150mm.
